I am married to Michael and have two grown up children. We live in Westbourne, Dorset with our little mini–Dachshund Percy.
I love spending time with my family, going for walks, meeting new people and I love the work I do for the National Childbirth Trust as an antenatal teacher and breastfeeding counsellor, as a Birth and Postnatal Doula, and before this as a nanny since 1992.

Every person’s birth journey is unique, and life changing, and I will put you and your family’s experience of pregnancy, labour, and birth and early parenting at the heart of everything I do.
Having over 20 years’ experience supporting families with new babies, my approach is to deliver emotional, physical and practical support as your Birth Doula, allowing you and your partner (if you have one) to focus on each other and the baby.
Drawing from my many years’ of nannying experience I am passionate about supporting families in the early days and weeks of their parenting journey. Enabling you to get some well-earned rest to recover, to support your infant feeding journey and be there to answer any questions about sleep, practical baby care and newborn behaviour.
I cover Dorset, Hampshire, Wiltshire and surrounding areas and villages. These include Bournemouth, Poole, Christchurch, Ringwood, Sandbanks, Salisbury, Lymington, Lyndhurst, Brockenhurst, The New Forest, Dorchester, Winchester, Shaftsbury and Southampton to name a few.

My background and qualifications
I qualified as an NNEB Nursery Nurse in 1992 and this is where my love for all things family, children and babies began. I worked for over 20 years with many families, nurturing and encouraging their children to become the adults they are today. I have also run my own nanny agency and I am super organised so you can feel reassured I will always be there when you need me.
I have a foundation degree in Birth and Beyond from the University of Worcester which is connected to the National Childbirth Trust (NCT). Through the course I became an antenatal teacher, yoga for pregnancy instructor, an NCT Birth Doula and an NCT infant and breastfeeding counsellor.Â
Through Yoga for Pregnancy, I became interested in how a woman’s body anatomy can help or hinder the birth process. In exploring this I have studied the art of the Rebozo with Sophie Messenger, Spinning Babies® with Gail Tully, and Advanced Biomechanics for Birth with Optimal Birth.
I am a Member and mentored doula with Doula UK, a member of The Doula Directory and hold a license to practice with The NCT and follow their code of conduct.
